I’m a Senior Associate in the Environment & Energy team. My focus and expertise is advising clients on the full range of core environmental law areas: pollution prevention, contaminated land, environmental consents, waste and recycling, producer responsibility, environmental investigations and prosecutions. I also work with clients on the increasing challenges of regulation concerning climate change, low carbon and sustainability, as well as advising on renewable energy projects and infrastructure. Because a lot of environmental law has an international and European foundation, I often help non-domestic clients with issues that have an international reach.

A key focus areas is helping to lead our Waste & Bioenergy sector group. I act for a variety of clients in the sector, including large corporates, supply chain and project companies, SMEs, developer start-ups and funders, on waste and biomass contracts, grant funding agreements and regulatory issues such as the definition of waste, permitting and transfrontier shipment of waste compliance.

I sit on the CBI’s regional Environment Committee and am an active member of the Environmental Services Association, the Chartered Institute of Waste Management, the Renewable Energy Association and the UK Environmental Law Association.

I joined Osborne Clare as a trainee in 2002 and qualified into the Environment & Energy team in 2004.
