My work in the corporate tax team is all about tax risk management for our clients. I am trying to make sure that using my extensive knowledge of tax law and commercial structures, our clients don’t pay any more tax than is necessary. My advice is always anchored in the real world - I don’t do aggressive tax avoidance schemes

I handle corporate tax, standalone tax advisory, and transactional work, with a particular interest in international tax and fund advisory work, whether that’s fund formation, investment or restructuring. I often work with companies investing in the UK from overseas, or advise UK and European corporates on cross-border investments, working alongside our Osborne Clarke Alliance firms and wider international network.

My clients on the advisory side include MITIE, College Hill and Disruptive Capital and I work with many of the firm’s biggest clients on transactions, in partnership with our sector specialists.

I qualified as a lawyer in 1990 and I’ve been working on tax issues my whole career. I’ve been a partner at Osborne Clarke since 1998.
