Acting for more than 20 different private equity and venture capital firms, I know how important it is to really understand the needs of my clients.  Clients don’t want to get bogged down in pedantic legal points, they want to focus on the key commercial issues to get things done, and preferably have some fun while they’re doing it. That’s certainly my philosophy on doing deals. 

I have specialised in private equity and M&A since qualifying at Osborne Clarke nearly 20 years ago, and I now run the private equity practice across the firm and focus on the services we deliver to the investment funds sector.  My clients include LDC, Growth Capital Partners, Business Growth Fund and Graphic Packaging, and my recent work includes advising LDC and Newco on the £70m buyout of A-Gas and management, Growth Capital Partners and Newco on the MBO’s of Iglu.com, Excelsior Packaging and etc Venues and Graphic Packaging on the £81m acquisition of Contego Packaging.

I trained at Osborne Clarke and became a partner in 1999.
