I advise clients on complex public and private sector procurement projects, primarily concerning social infrastructure such as health, security, housing, defence, waste and energy, education and equipment. Having worked in the sector for nearly 20 years, and advised on the second ever PFI deal signed in Wales, I’m able to bring a great deal of experience to bear for clients.

Given the scale and sophistication of the projects I’m working on, I like to get involved as early as possible, to understand my clients’ objectives and really get to grips with what is needed in order to win their mandates. Then I help them secure anything from major outsourcing contracts through to difficult project finance transactions be they new or secondary market deals.

My clients include facilities managers like Mitie, sponsors like Kier, and infrastructure funds. I recently advised on a student accommodation project for a large client, and advised a contractor and operator on a wood biomass CHP project finance scheme.

I qualified as a lawyer in 1993 and joined Osborne Clarke as a partner in 2008.
