Projects

We are at the forefront of public-private partnerships, advising our clients on the implementation of new funding models in all types of projects. Our highly-experienced team works across renewables, waste, education, health, blue light, defence, rail, outsourcing, and housing and regeneration projects.

PFI structures will remain, but are no longer the default choice for infrastructure schemes. We are at the forefront of developing new options, and whether that’s using public-private partnerships, joint ventures, hybrid project/corporate finance structures or funding merchant facilities, we are ready to help.

Osborne Clarke’s projects group works with private sector clients to deliver large-scale transactions. That requires a broad range of skills that we access from our colleagues across the firm, including employment, tax, corporate, pensions, banking and regulatory advice. We deliver a seamless, commercial and solutions-driven service, because we’re leaders in our field.

Increasingly, our experts are engaged on projects after financial close, implementing contract changes in conjunction with project companies, service providers, senior lenders and the public sector. We also frequently work alongside our corporate finance colleagues on secondary market transactions acquiring equity positions on closed PFI transactions.

We’re on top of the complexities in a market that’s in a state of flux. We’ve turned our wealth of knowledge about the way things used to be done towards innovating for the future.

Changing the fundamentals can cause confusion. Let us shed some light.
