PFI is no longer the default delivery model. So it's good to know that we're at the cutting-edge of developing new structures for project funding and delivery.

Education

Whatever the subject, we bring in-depth knowledge of education, along with commercial insights that will push your business to the top of the class.

We’ve worked with private sector businesses building accommodation for universities, both on-site and off-site. That’s a growing area, and our clients include Campus Living Villages and Unite. The projects – like rebuilding student living for the University of Bedford – are large and complex. We bring construction, projects, property and finance knowledge, along with sector insights.

We used to do lots of PFI work, including Building Schools for the Future. We’ve been doing education PFI and PPP for the last 15 years, and now that the coalition government is looking at other options like the extended use of the academies model, construction frameworks and refurbishing the existing schools estate,, we are ready to adapt to the new regime.

We advise lots of secondary education establishments on estate management and rationalisation. We advise schools looking to convert to academy status. We also advise universities, independent schools and education charities on the VAT issues affecting the effective structuring of capital projects.

And from a cost base perspective, you can’t get better: we are in the City of London and have offices in Bristol and Reading, so we can deliver innovative pricing and competitive fees. We offer capped fees for clients bidding in competitive situations.

We know about the complex and fast-changing laws affecting education. Why not put us to the test?
