Osborne Clarke creates €150m international organisation
9 Jul 2012
Osborne Clarke has combined with Italian firm SLA Studio Legale Associato and Spanish firm Osborne Clarke Spain to create a 550 lawyer, 145 partner international firm, with combined revenues of €150 million.
The enlarged Osborne Clarke, which was created on Friday 6 July, is a single international firm focused on delivering high quality legal services to clients in 6 key industries.
The Italian and Spanish firms join OC's existing UK and German operations, meaning that, initially, the firm will have offices in 5 jurisdictions: UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and the US. The firm has 12 offices and a total headcount of over 900.
The combined business will be led by an International Board, headed by Simon Beswick, as Chief Executive and governed by an International Council, led by Spanish Senior Partner, Tomás Dagá.
Simon Beswick, International Chief Executive, said:
"By combining 3 firms that are each known for their commitment to client service, user-friendly style and depth of sector knowledge, we have created a business that is more than the sum of its parts.
"We have made no secret of our international ambitions and, in particular, the fact that we are looking to launch in Paris over the coming months."
Tomás Dagá, International Council Chair, said:
"Our clients will benefit from a seamless, expert, cross-border service that supports their own international operations and growth. At the same time, sharing of best practice and expertise will sharpen our sector focus and provide greater depth of insight."
