Joachim specialises in mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and succession. He advises on venture capital deals and management
buy-out transactions. Joachim also has sound experience of cross-border tax issues and the development of closed-end funds.
In addition, Joachim assists in developing tax-optimised structures for SMEs and entrepreneurs.
As legal advisor of the Association of Mercedes-Benz car dealers in Germany, Joachim has very broad knowledge of the automotive
sector. Together with members of the commercial team in Cologne, Joachim advises several car dealers and dealer associations,
on the new block exemption for the distribution and servicing of motor vehicles in the European Union. Joachim also advises
on mergers and the restructuring of car dealers and car dealer groups.
Joachim joined Osborne Clarke from the Cologne office of Graf von Westphalen Fritze & Modest in 2001. From 1996 until 1998
he worked for the German Group of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Joachim is a frequent lecturer on corporate
and tax issues.
