
Katherine's practice covers both contentious and non-contentious issues, but her main focus is advising on the hiring and termination of senior executives, restrictive covenant issues, unfair dismissals, redundancies and business reorganisations, TUPE, and outsourcings. Katherine also regularly advises on the implications of engaging contactors and atypical workers and has particular expertise on advising on IR35.
Katherine has conducted several "employment law audits" for clients, where she has reviewed all employment related policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance.
She also regularly advises on employment implications in corporate transactions.
Katherine spent two and a half years as UK in-house employment counsel for a blue-chip multinational software company, where she was responsible for advising on a broad spectrum of HR issues. She therefore has a considerable degree of "hands on" experience.
Katherine joined Osborne Clarke in May 2000 having previously trained and worked at Baker & McKenzie.
