Adrian is partner in charge of dispute resolution in Osborne Clarke's City office. Adrian specialises in complex business litigation and arbitration, in particular cases with an international or cross border dimension. Adrian is highly recommended in the Legal 500 where he is described as "bright, affable and efficient" and "very talented".

Adrian has particular expertise in conducing civil fraud cases.  Presently he is representing a party in the substantial fraud litigation pending in the London Commercial Court regarding the Tajik Aluminium Plant in Central Asia.  He is lead partner of Osborne Clarke's Russia/CIS team and he has a lot of experience of conducting disputes for and against Russian parties.  With Russian lawyers in the team, Osborne Clarke is able to communicate with clients entirely in Russian.  In terms of arbitration, Adrian has experience of cases under the auspices of the full range of arbitral bodies (ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, AAA etc) and of ad hoc arbitrations.

Adrian qualified as an English solicitor in 1986 and worked in the litigation department of Herbert Smith for several years, followed by a period (1990-1996) at niche IT/IP practice Hopkins & Wood (where Adrian was a partner from 1992).  In 1996 Adrian moved to Osborne Clarke as a partner.

Some examples of Adrian's recent cases are as follows:

Tajik Aluminium litigation (pending); employee fraud case for an advertising agency (resulting in recovery of funds and criminal conviction); arbitrations in Zurich and Stockholm regarding commodity supply contracts (pending); arbitration for Adobe Systems regarding fonts in Acrobat products involving numerous technical as well as legal issues (award in favour of Adobe); advising on large IT implementation project in the healthcare sector (settlement achieved without litigation).
