Media Finance
divider
Finding funding for media projects is often tricky, because of the sums involved and the high risk of the project failing. More the reason therefore, that funders want the issues to be accurately identified at the outset and their interests to be safeguarded as much as possible.

Osborne Clarke's media finance group is involved in raising finance for film, television and games productions, as well as negotiating and structuring deals for these media. We act for financiers and businesses in connection with the financing of all films (whether singular or series) production legal work involving the drafting of agreements with the production teams, associated licenses and location agreements.

We advise UK and overseas clients, all of whom benefit from our international network, as our finance and media lawyers work closely together to spot legal trends and commercial opportunities globally. But whilst much of our work crosses borders and jurisdictions, our clients can also reply on receiving expert local advice.

Examples of our recent experience include:
  • Barclays Bank plc on the provision of a £2 million credit facility to Town & Country Broadcasting Ltd for the acquisition of various radio station companies
  • Activision Europe Limited on the issue of a £97.5 million zero coupon bond and redemption of 2006 bond
